A shortlist has been released for the New Adult Book Prize, which was founded last year by the Bookseller to "recognize and affirm new adult fiction as an established space for books that celebrate the joys and challenges of early adulthood." It is run in partnership with the Cheltenham Literature Festival.

The shortlisted authors will appear at Cheltenham Literature Festival as part of its VOICEBOX program on October 11, when the winner will also be named.
